Start by separating anxiety, depression, and fear because they are different things even though they may overlap.
When it comes to anxiety, look at how you define it because each person experiences anxiety in different ways. Being specific about how anxiety presents in your life can help you better understand it.
Identify the top three areas of your life that are affected by your anxiety. Next list what you would be willing to do to decrease your anxiety around each of these areas. You probably already have options, resources, and support that may help reduce your anxiety. Ask yourself if you are willing to make any changes in your top three areas. For example, if you haven’t tried Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques for your anxiety but heard it would be helpful, then add it to your list of action times. When it comes to depression, look at how you define it. Again, everyone experiences it differently so write down your exact symptoms or thoughts around your depression. Look at what things you have done in the past may have been helpful. If you haven’t tried things in the past, consider attending a support group, talking with a loved one, see a medical provider, explore your overall life balance, exercise, or see a licensed counselor. There are many treatment options for people struggling with depression but not every action works for all people.
Overcoming fear can be difficult, but it is possible. Make a list of all your fears and don’t hold back. It doesn’t matter how logical or illogical they may be. Write them out then review them.
